Stay Alert: Protecting Our Customers from Fraudulent Communications

At Bird, our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers is paramount. We’ve been made aware of instances where individuals have received unsolicited texts, emails and WhatsApp messages from scammers impersonating Bird.  We believe there are also fake LinkedIn profiles being created.  The only official Bird Marketing LinkedIn Profile is here https://www.linkedin.com/company/bird-marketing/ .

The scammers have now started to purchase domains similar to our domain names.  Bird Marketing will only use bird.co.uk, bird.ae or bird.marketing.  If you receive an email from any other domain it did not come from us.

We wish to clarify that these communications do not originate from us and underscore the importance of remaining vigilant to safeguard against potential scams.

Bird Marketing is not currently recruiting or offering online jobs/assignments.  We do not use Telegram or setup Whatsapp Groups for anyone but our clients.

What’s Happening?

Malefactors are contacting individuals, purporting to be from Bird, with various texts, emails and WhatsApp messages. These communications might include bogus offers, phishing attempts to collect personal information, or other deceptive practices. The aim of these scammers is to exploit unsuspecting members of the public, potentially leading to financial loss or identity theft.

How to Identify and Avoid Scams

  1. Official Communication Channels: Bird communicates with our customers solely through official channels (emails from bird.ae, bird.co.uk or bird.marketing). You will never receive an unexpected message from Bird, if you would like to verify its authenticity please forward any messages to [email protected]
  2. Look Out for Red Flags: Exercise caution with messages that request personal information, payment details, or contain suspicious links. Our team will never solicit sensitive information via text or WhatsApp messages.
  3. Avoid Clicking on Suspicious Links: Refrain from clicking on links from unverified sources. These could lead to phishing websites designed to harvest your personal information.
  4. WhatsApp Report: Use the WhatsApp report feature to report the numbers (three dots in the top right > report)
